Thanksgiving Napkin Sign

Another sign for the school's napkin holder. I plan to make one for each holiday throughout the year.

I used Create-a-Critter cartridge.

Halloween Napkin Sign for School

My Mom asked me to make some little signs to put in the school's giant napkin holder (she works in the kitchen). I made this one for Halloween. I gave it to Blake to give to the kitchen ladies. That's what started him wanting to give them things all the time. They must have made over him and the sign pretty well and I'm sure he LOVED the attention.

At least Blake is willing to take things in to school and give them to the right people. Chase and Reed would rather crawl under a rock than take anything in and give it to their teachers or whomever. I don't know why they are so embarrassed to do that, but I think it's odd. Sometimes their teachers ask for old magazines and when I give some to the boys to donate, they act like they've been asked to give up a kidney or their favorite video game. Geesh!

I used the Mini Monsters cartridge for the cute little guys on the top. I think I got the poem out of a Paper Crafts magazine.

More Candy Purses

Candy Purses

I made these Halloween candy purses for Blake to give to his teacher, teacher's aides, and the wonderful kitchen ladies that he absolutely adores!

He loves to give the kitchen ladies things. He'll pick up stuff around the house and ask if he can give them to the girls. Most of the time it's a sheet of paper that he colored or something quite obscure like a piece of foam. I don't think he has asked if he could give any of his airplanes away, lol!

I would have liked to make some creative tags for these purses but, it was 1:00 am and at that point I just wanted to get them done so Blake could hand them out the next day. The idea to make these purses for the girls didn't come to me until 10:00 pm that night. I don't know why I can't come up with these brilliant ideas about 2 weeks ahead of time!

I used the Cricut cartridges Tags, Bags, Boxes and More and Forever Young. I love the little purses on those cartridges. They are so dang cute!

Blog Blah...

Okay. So I'm not doing so well keeping consistent updates on the blog. Some days it's just too hard to sit at the computer and try to write something. I guess it's kind of like exercise, the more you do it, the easier it becomes.

I have done a little crafting lately. I'll post some pictures after this update. Some of the things are from last month for halloween.

I thought that when all 4 kids were in school that I would have more time to do crafts and scrapbooking. I even fantasized about all the hours that I would get to spend in my craft room. Instead, I end up doing stupid things like sweeping, mopping, shampooing the carpet, laundry, etc, etc. It really does feel like futile work when 20 minutes after the kids get home you can't even tell I did anything! Oh well. What's that quote by Phyllis Diller? Oh yea, "Cleaning your house while you kids are still growing, is like shoveling the driveway while it's still snowing."
